Valor Mortis Review Roundup

Valor Mortis review: reasons to try it

• You enjoy learning enemy cues in demanding, close-range combat.
• A first-person mix of swordplay, firearms and supernatural abilities sounds more interesting than a conventional third-person soulslike.
• You value an unsettling historical setting and are willing to work through challenging navigation.

Valor Mortis review: reasons for caution

• You need a consistently smooth handheld experience. The Deck report includes compromises and stutter.
• You strongly dislike precision platforming or navigating in first person. Published reviewers differ on how well these sections work.
• You want a review based on the exact console version you will buy. The reports compared here are PC-focused.

These Valor Mortis review authors are separate, but TechRadar and GamesRadar+ belong to the same publisher, Future. We have not played through the game to assign our own review score. This Valor Mortis review roundup is an attributed comparison, not a disguised first-hand review.

Steam’s October 16 API snapshot contains 912 recommendations, 78.18% positive. Metacritic’s checked platform scores are 78 on PC and 79 on PS5. Those measures use different inputs and should not be averaged into a new number.

For a useful Valor Mortis review comparison, pick your platform, check the official requirements or eligible PS5 trial, then read the review whose hardware and concerns match yours. Combat footage can show the first-person view, but cannot prove how the game will feel on your machine.
